This mama missed bedtime for the first time in 1 year, 11 months when I dorked out and went to watch Breaking Dawn- Part 2 on opening night (I can’t pretend it’s the first time..). First of all, as much as I love those midnight showings, this year the first showing was at 10pm which was a) considerable less crazy, teenage girl-wise and b) much more convenient – I made it back close to my normal bed time!

It was dorky. It was great.

The theater squealed a collective squeal when Jacob’s shirt was peeled off.

Renesmee as a baby was creepy. Mute, older Renesmee gave me the creeps throughout, though she did get easier to watch.

Dare I say it, Kristen Stewart’s acting wasn’t quite as appalling this time?..

As usual the vampire makeup was awful, excluding Bella this time – she looked good as a vampire.

The TWIST! I had not heard about the twist and oh my goodness did I cover my face in disbelief for a very long time.

I loved it.

Then, the movie was over and I managed to spill half a bag of popcorn in my bag. I was on a Twilight high so I didn’t care.

While I was away…

I was glad to be home with that bear jammies-wearing snuggle muffin.
